Newborn: Baby Matthew

Meet sweet little Matthew! He is the product of my very first wedding couple, Martha and Shane. It's such an honor to go through some of life's biggest events with some of my couples and I loved photographing this little peanut. I could not be happier for Martha and Shane and I can't wait to watch this little guy grow up! Enjoy! ~MC

Newborn: Baby Dom

One of the best things about shooting photography is that it keeps me in touch and up to speed with  people's lives that I unfortunately, may lose touch with otherwise. As we all know, we all end up going in different directions and take different paths that don't always cross very often but it's so nice to be able to have photography as a fantastic excuse to catch up as if time never passed. So many old high school, and college friends and colleagues have been reaching out to me to shoot their weddings, babies etc. and I am always so honored that they think of me and like my work. Its pretty insane how many babies are popping up (or out!), but I must say, it may be becoming one of my favorite types of genres to photograph. A college friend of mine, Vanessa, contacted me to shoot her new little guy, Dominique. He was 3 weeks old when we did this shoot, and he was so sweet. Granted, he wanted to stay awake for the action instead of fall asleep so that we could manipulate him into cute little positions, but he still was the most contented little man and let me get some really sweet images! Vanessa, I could not be happier for you guys, he is beautiful! Enjoy! ~MC

Little Man Max....My First Nephew!

Following the four amazing nieces of mine, I am proud to announce the birth of my first nephew, Max!! Max came into our world on February 23rd and he is the sweetest little man in the world. I know what it's like to have to live far away from family and nieces who you just want to be around all the time, so I feel so blessed to also now have a niece and a nephew that live minutes from me! I not only get to see them whenever I want, but I am a staple in their lives and there on a regular basis. That is so special to me because there is nothing like family and definitely nothing like the love of a child. They are so entertaining and loving and I just can't get enough. However, what also is special to me, is to be able give the gift of these images. Photography makes me happy, but photographing people I love gives me goosebumps and I literally don't stop smiling when I am editing the images. I know I am bias but pretty much all I can say about these pictures, is that he is the most beautiful little boy and they make me SO happy. My sister in law and I had so much fun posing Max the day we did this, when he was only a precious 12 days old. I can't wait to see what he brings to this world! Enjoy! ~M.C.

I love you Max! Love, Aunt Megan

Matt & Marissa

Okay, so there is a pretty clear pattern that every single time I blog I start off with saying something like  "I know it's been awhile", which is a huge sign that I was just completely over booking myself. I couldn't do it all. I am so happy to see 2012 arrive because 2011 was just a little bit too crazy for my liking! Starting a new job after booking all of these fantastic weddings in preparation that I was not going to find a new job as quickly as I'd like, left me without any time for myself or the people that I really wanted to spend my time with. I was so lucky to be part of so many beautiful weddings and get a fabulous new job, however, it's very unfortunate that I am just now getting around to blog them...... Better late then never? I hope so! BUT, I am VERY happy to say that I am now feeling like I have my life back together and able to enjoy nights and weekends and life without having to plan every little thing I wanted to do in advance, to make sure it actually happened. My friends pretty much just stopped bothering to ask if I was around to hang out and for anyone who knows me.....not being around my friends or people I cared about, did not make me a very happy girl. I will be taking a few steps back from the amount of weddings that I do in 2012, but all the craziness from 2011 did leave me with some great experiences, with wonderful couples, who look absolutely FANTASTIC!

Exhibit A...Matt & Marissa.

Oddly enough, I photographed my childhood best friend's wedding, who to this day, is like a sister to me. Marissa and I have been friends, as we like to say, "from the womb". Our mom's were great friends when we were growing up, and after they both had a set of sons, they were a little daughter happy and dressed us like we were twins. As you will see below, Marissa is a dark haired, brown eyed italian beauty. Being italian was probably the only thing we had in common as far as looks go, but we walked around in matching overalls, leggings or bathing suits, complete with our pocket rocker's and barbie dolls. We had a blast and to this day, I am lucky to say that I have a friend that just knows it ALL. When Marissa met Matt, I knew they were a match-even though she tried to tell me they were "just friends". They had a very unique, beautiful and personalized wedding up in the Adirondack's in July and I just LOVE how their pictures came out, it was such an honor to be able to give this gift and be an even bigger part of their special day... Love you guys!
